ABOUT ART ON 9
Born from a vision to weave fine art into the historic fabric of Michigan’s communities, Art at the Mill began in 2025 as an intimate, one-day juried festival in downtown Ortonville. Founded by local artist Olivia Colletti in partnership with the Old Mill Historical Society, the event was designed to celebrate creativity while honoring local heritage.
Following an inaugural year of explosive growth and community success, the festival has evolved into a premier two-day experience, expanding its footprint into the vibrant heart of Downtown Ferndale for Art on 9. This evolution brings together a sophisticated selection of fine artists, live demonstrations, and music in a setting that remains elevated yet accessible. While the show has grown in scale and energy, its core remains unchanged: a celebration of art, community, and summertime joy where creators and collectors can truly connect.

My Story.
I’m an artist and live event illustrator with a passion for creating spaces where art and community meet. I specialize in live portraiture at weddings and events, and I love capturing the energy and emotion of creative moments in real time (click "LEARN MORE" above to see my work). After participating in local art shows myself, I wanted to bring that same sense of connection and celebration of creativity to my own hometown. That vision became Art on 9 — a juried fine art show designed to highlight talented regional artists, support small creative businesses, and celebrate the beauty of Ferndale's downtown setting.
